Do Eggs come from Eggplant?

This surprising question inspired Crabtree Farms staff to help at-risk youth build their own garden on the farm through a partnership with the Hamilton County Juvenile Court System.  These youth are learning responsibility and life skills while they learn about growing fresh food.  By teaching hands-on and providing amazing opportunities for youth to connect with gardening and fresh foods, Crabtree Farms is changing the way Chattanooga sees food.

You can be a part of this change by donating to a special project, such as:

  • Crabtree’s Edible Classroom
  • Hamilton County’s Juvenile Court Garden at Crabtree
  • Sponsoring Farm-To-School Field Trips for disadvantaged students in Hamilton Counties Title One schools.

Please also consider a general donation to Crabtree Farms, which is tax-deductible. Click Here to donate now!

Any donation of $50 or more makes you a member of Crabtree Farms! Your generous support will enable community food system activities to thrive on and off the Farm, encouraging more gardening, healthier eating practices and environmentally conscious growing methods.
