Urban Cultivators Workshop Series

WHEN: Monday Evenings
Where: Carver Recreation Center

Join us for this new series to learn all the basics of home or community gardening.

Topics include:

  • garden design
  • soil fertility
  • how plants grow
  • seed starting
  • composting
  • growing vegetables and edible perennials (herbs, berries and fruit trees)
  • pest management and plant diseases
  • cooking with the seasons
  • urban gardening, community gardening and food justice

Those who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion. Participants will receive class notes and notebook for their own use. Pending future funding, it’s expected that there will be no charge for the program (a $160 value)!
