Join Lexy Vogel, dietetics intern and longtime volunteer, for an afternoon of learning about the four phases of the menstrual cycle and how to eat to nourish your body during each phase. She will explain the physiological reasons we experience cravings at certain times of the month and how we can use food to ease symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Since every woman experiences an increased need of iron during menstruation, this class will entail making a rich syrup using medicinal plants and molasses.
