SUMMARY:Healing Salve
DESCRIPTION:Join Courtney Parker for a morning of creating a healing salve. This workshop is designed to empower participants to meet their own first aid needs with a basic preparation.  Participants can expect to learn what a salve is and what its uses are.  They will leave with basic knowledge of common healing plants\, essential oils and how to infuse those properties into salves.  During this hands-on workshop\, participants will craft their own healing salve that will prepare them to replicate the process at home. \nAbout the Facilitator:  First and foremost\, Courtney is a Crabtree Farms farmer! As well\, she studied holistic herbalism in 2015 at the Blue Ridge School for Herbal Medicine. With 130 hours of study and a Community Herbalist certificate\, she loves to share the wisdom and knowledge that she has gained over the years. SUMMARY:Introduction to Permaculture Design
DESCRIPTION:Description: This 2-hour introduction to permaculture workshop touches on the key features of a 10-14 day permaculture design course. Every community and property has resources and assets—human\, natural and financial. How can we effectively design food systems that responsibly manage these resources in order to create abundance for ourselves\, our neighbors\, and non-human community members? SUMMARY:DIY Ladies Gift Making Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a festive evening of learning how to make 5 different holiday gifts. As well\, there will be 5 marketplace vendors where participants can buy gifts as well. To round out the evening\, we will have a potluck\, so bring your favorite dish to share. This event is BYOB. \nEach participant will go home with each gift that is demonstrated as well as instructions on how to re-create at home. That evening participants will learn how to make: bath salts\, a stress relief roll-on\, elderberry syrup\, deodorant paste\, and beeswax wrap.
