Voting 101: How to Vote and What’s on the Ballot in Hamilton County

September 24
5:30 pm
- 7:00 pm

Free
This November, Chattanooga area citizens are voting for federal, state, and city (depending on your address) representatives. Voting is the way we determine who gets to make laws that govern our communities and is one important way your voice is heard in government. As we get closer to election day you might be asking yourself:
  • Am I registered to vote?
  • What are my districts?
  • Where and when can I vote?
  • Who is on my ballot?
  • What do each of these people actually do to impact my life and my community?

Come join the Tennessee Democracy Network and Megan Caldwell (local voter) for this FREE non-partisan workshop to answer these questions and understand the importance of voting!

You’ll walk away with:
  • Confirmation that you are registered to vote in your districts (or register during the workshop.
  • A voting plan for when and where you’ll vote in November (or October).
  • Understanding of what each elected office does.
  • A concise list of helpful resources to learn more about candidates on your ballot.
