Ever wanted to craft your own soap but felt unsure where to begin? With the right guidance, soapmaking is both fun and rewarding! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll dive into the fascinating world of cold-process soapmaking, learning the science behind it and the essential safety measures to ensure success.
What You’ll Learn:
- The fundamentals of cold-process soapmaking
- How to choose and combine natural ingredients
- Tips for safely working with soapmaking tools and equipment
What’s Included:
- All the materials and equipment needed to create your soap
- A detailed take-home booklet with step-by-step instructions to replicate the process
- Your very own handmade soap, ready to cure at home
By the end of the class, you’ll leave with your soap creation in its mold. After 24 hours, you’ll slice your bars and let them cure for 4-6 weeks—then enjoy your beautiful, handcrafted soap!

Karen Creel, owner of Gardenchick, is a certified Garden Coach and member of the Garden Coach Society. On her four-acre homestead in Chickamauga, she combines her love of gardening, upcycling, and DIY projects, creating a life full of creativity and sustainability. Refund Policy: Refunds can be requested up to 7 days before the start of a workshop. The cancellation fee will be 10% of the ticket amount. If you find that you can’t attend the workshop, but it is too late to request a refund, you are welcome to gift the workshop to someone else.
