Mango Turmeric Smoothie

Turmeric’s earthy notes and bright orange color make it a fantastic addition to tons of dishes. While golden milk (link below) is a great go-to use for this rhizome, we think that you’ll also enjoy this tasty smoothie recipe below.

Quick Tip: When converting grated or minced fresh turmeric for a recipe that calls for dried, consider this ratio, 1 TBSP fresh equals 1/2 tsp dry ground.

  • 2 c frozen mango cubes
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 6 oz plain yogurt
  • 1-inch fresh turmeric, peeled and grated (or 1/2 tsp ground turmeric)
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 c milk
  • 1½ tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  1. In blender, combine mango, banana, yogurt, turmeric, and ginger with milk.
  2. OPTIONAL: Add chia seeds
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Add more milk as needed to thin.
